Publication Ethics Statement

Yaqeen Journal for Legal Studies is strictly committed to the highest standards of publication ethics and follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Author Responsibilities

Originality and Plagiarism

  • Submitted research must be original and not previously published
  • Plagiarism in all its forms is prohibited, including self-plagiarism
  • All sources and references must be properly documented
  • Quotations must be placed in quotation marks with a reference to the source

Multiple and Simultaneous Submission

  • Manuscripts must not be submitted to more than one journal at the same time
  • The same research must not be published in more than one journal
  • Any prior publication of parts of the research must be disclosed

Co-Authors

  • All listed authors must have made an actual contribution to the research
  • All those who have made a substantive contribution must be listed as authors
  • All authors must consent to the final version
  • The corresponding author is responsible for communication with the journal on behalf of all authors

Conflict of Interest

  • Any potential conflict of interest must be disclosed
  • Funding sources for the research must be stated
  • Any relationships that may affect the objectivity of the research must be disclosed

Errors in Published Works

  • The journal must be notified immediately upon discovery of significant errors
  • Cooperate with the journal to publish a correction or retract the article if necessary

Reviewer Responsibilities

Confidentiality

  • Maintain confidentiality of reviewed manuscripts
  • Do not share or discuss the manuscript with others
  • Do not use information from the manuscript before it is published

Objectivity

  • Provide an objective and unbiased evaluation
  • Provide constructive and detailed feedback
  • Avoid personal or professional bias

Conflict of Interest

  • Disclose any conflict of interest with the authors
  • Decline to review in the case of a conflict of interest

Timeliness

  • Complete the review on time
  • Notify the journal immediately if unable to complete the review

Editorial Board Responsibilities

Publication Decisions

  • Make publication decisions based solely on scientific merit
  • No discrimination on the basis of nationality, religion, gender, or institutional affiliation
  • Independence from commercial or political interests

Confidentiality

  • Protect the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts
  • Do not disclose information about manuscripts to anyone other than reviewers

Conflict of Interest

  • Disclose any conflict of interest
  • Do not participate in decisions regarding manuscripts in which they have a conflict of interest

Scientific Integrity

  • Investigate any allegations of scientific misconduct
  • Take appropriate action when violations are discovered
  • Publish corrections and retractions when necessary

Scientific Misconduct

The journal takes seriously all forms of scientific misconduct, including:

  • Plagiarism and copying
  • Falsification or fabrication of data
  • Duplicate publication of the same research
  • Ghost or unjustified authorship
  • Failure to disclose conflicts of interest

Disciplinary Procedures

In cases where misconduct is proven, the journal may take the following actions:

  • Reject the manuscript for publication
  • Retract the published article
  • Publish a misconduct notice
  • Notify the author's institution
  • Ban the author from publishing in the journal for a specified period
